Lauren Schultz (she/her/hers)
Lauren Schultz is a former College Writing Instructor turned Grant Writer and Fundraising Consultant. She has been involved with nonprofit work since 2003 and has twelve years of experience working specifically as a Grant Writer. Since 2010, Ms. Schultz has secured $32 million in government contracts and over $1.2 million in private funding through the formal grant application process, as well as $2.5 million through fundraising campaigns and events. She has worked for organizations such as The Biondi Special Education School, Youth Art For Healing, The Lifespace Foundation, Woodfield Juvenile Detention Center, Iowa Donor Network, the Association of American Medical Colleges, Rising Ground, and Mosaic Christian Community Development Association. She has successfully secured funding from sources such as the Federal Administration for Children and Families Office of Head Start, the New York City Department of Education, the New York State Office of Children and Family Services, The American Electric Power Foundation, The Laura Bush Foundation, TD Bank Charitable Foundation, and more. Ms. Schultz has a Bachelor's Degree from Eastern Michigan University, a Master’s Degree from American University, and has continued her education through the Foundation Center in New York City and the Des Moines Fundraising Institute in Des Moines, IA. She is a member of the Grant Professionals Association.
Ms. Schultz has lived in Detroit, Michigan; Southwest, Michigan; Washington, DC; New York City; Orlando, Florida; Des Moines, IA; and Austin, TX.
